Toure Weaver

Toure Weaver is a passionate and highly experienced soccer coach with over 17 years of coaching expertise, dedicated to shaping young athletes both on and off the field. With a deep appreciation for the game and its life-enriching lessons, Toure has consistently demonstrated his ability to inspire and develop players from pre-k through high school in both school and youth sports settings.

Coaching Philosophy

Toure believes in fostering a reciprocal relationship between players and the game of soccer. He instills in his players the understanding that the rewards of soccer come to those who commit, persevere, and respect the sport. Toure emphasizes the importance of teamwork, trust, and responsibility, stressing that each player has a vital role within the group. For Toure, success is not measured solely by goals but by the effort, resilience, and determination displayed between the goal lines.

Playing Career

Toure’s love for the game began as a standout player, with notable achievements as part of Montclair High School’s soccer program before playing at the University of Pittsburgh. His playing career also includes time with Real Wycoff (2004-2006), which reinforced his foundation as a player and coach.

Education

Toure holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Pittsburgh (1998-2022) and completed a Professional Year/Teacher Certification Program (2002-03). This educational background supports his ability to relate to and educate players of all skill levels.
